To my surprise I have discovered that a preacher I once asked to pray for me is the one who needs prayer. This former television preacher has stated on his website,
I love Metal and Hardcore music and so that’s what i write about.
No wonder this man has trouble praying. And no wonder his life is such a mess. Looking through his writings I found them to be severely mentally disturbing. All of his writing was about death, confusion, suicide, homicide, and the darkside. There were a number of professing Christian music groups on his website with very disturbing albums such as this one. Now I ask you, what is Christian about this album cover?

This picture on this album cover is like all the other metal music covers (Christian AND secular!)- ghoulish, skulls, demons, flames of fire, images straight from Hell.
The words to the songs were all sad, negative, disturbing, and embracing darkness. I wanted to pick something out to share here but all of the lyrics are the same horror.
Letting Go
When we make a commitment to Jesus Christ and accept Him as our Lord and Savior we are instantly filled with His Holy Spirit who guides us and lets us know when something is not right. The Lord teaches us right from wrong, and when something is not of Him. We are given spiritual discernment to recognize what spirit is speaking to us. The Bible says that His sheep know His voice (John 10:27).
In order to be in right relationship with the Lord and to have a close relationship with the Lord a person has to be willing to let go of any unholy thing. To try to hold on to the unholy and say that you love the Lord is a conflict. One cannot love the Lord and love the world and all its’ darkness too. No one can serve two masters.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24 (and Luke 16:13)
It is rebellion to deny these truths, and the Bible calls rebellion the same as witchcraft.
For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from [being] king. 1 Samuel 15:23
To remain in rebellion is also disobedience. Keeping death music like this in your home with these images from Hell opens a doorway for Satan and his demons to come in. Anyone who loves darkness and ghoulish images from Hell while using the Name of Jesus and Christianity to sell something is a liar and a deceiver. A person who is born again puts away these evil, dark things that are opposed to the Lord. The Bible says that we are to think upon heavenly things. Satan and his demons, skulls, and horrifying images are not in Heaven. They are in HELL.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Colossians 3:2
