This article from CNN reports that Christian young people are increasingly not abstaining from sex–> Why young Christians aren’t waiting anymore

Well, it is not just young people who are not waiting. It is all ages who are not waiting. I was hoping to find actual statistics on this but found none. They generally are inaccurate anyway.

Society throws sexual images at us everywhere we go. Nowadays, inappropriate sexual images can even be found in professing Christian churches. We can avoid pornographic websites or magazines, but we cannot avoid common public shopping places. We are all forcibly subjected to inappropriate images everyday.

The Rothschild’s family is one of the most lucrative and powerful families in the whole world. They are Jewish Satanists. It is recorded that they own about half of the entire world. This family has assisted in making immorality ‘popular.’  Fritz Springmeier writes that,

Some of the Rothschilds have been involved in the campaign to loosen public morals. The first executive Secretary of the National Student Forum was John Rothschild. This National Student Forum changed its name like articles of clothing. Speaking about clothing, one of the aims of this Socialist group was to promote public nudity, and free love. “This organization had the following constituent groups Radcliffe Liberal Club, Union Theological Seminary Contemporary Club, Yale Liberal Club” to name just a few. A further development of this was the Youth Peace Federation which consisted of the League of Youth of Community Church, Methodist Epworth League, NY District, Young Judea, and Young People’s Fellowship of St. Phillip’s Parish to name a few. –the Rothschild family

And what do we see today? Widespread immorality, public nudity, and FREE LOVE. Today’s apostate churches never teach abstinence nor set good examples to others when the preachers and elders themselves are involved in all sorts of immoralities and perversions. There is pressure from all sides to give into whatever everybody else seems to be doing and whatever feels good. When preachers and professing Christian people are having premarital sex, committing adultery, watching pornography, and shacking up then we may find ourselves giving into immorality too and ignoring God’s Word or the Holy Spirit nudging us not to do something or even entertain the thoughts.

This CNN article raises the point that in biblical times people married at young ages, and that the average age today keeps increasing.

So what about in biblical times when people married young?

My answer to this is that people in Bible times were probably more mature than people are today. Jehoash was seven years old when he became king over an entire country (2 Kings 11:21), and the Bible even says that he was a good king doing that which was right in the sight of the Lord (2 Kings 12:2). Today we have children raising children, and what is worse than that is how people grow into adult bodies but they still behave like children. If people were mentally and emotionally more mature today then marrying at a young age would be ideal, in my opinion. It would likely greatly reduce the premarital sex problem.

Since this is my blog I can say whatever I want to so here is my 2 cents on this. Most people today do not have the maturity to distinguish between genuine love and lust.

People often equate love with sex but they are not the same thing. Sex is an act that does not require love. Love is a choice which does not require sex.

People mostly marry for lust (sex) and make relationship choices based on carnal hunger- the lust of the eyes, whatever will momentarily satisfy the flesh. This unquenchable thirst will always drive a person in the wrong direction and to settle for less than what the Lord had planned for them. What felt like love was only lust which all eventually burn out. I see the proof of this by the divorce rates and adultery going on. If people genuinely loved their spouse and were in right relationship with the Lord then they would not wind up in divorce (abusive situations exempt here!), or be living separate lives, or be having affairs, committing adultery, or murdering spouses. Trouble happens because one or both people are not in right relationship with the Lord. This is also very apparent by the apostasy we see today. People place more focus on outward appearances and money than they do on their personal relationship with the Lord. Just like the “name it and claim it” garbage, people are playing the “fake it to make it” facade. Just looking to keep up appearances while there is misery in the home.

I looked for statistics on divorce rates. The only ones I found were way off from the truth. They were making the claim that divorce rates were declining. However, the company who gathered these statistics were counting “shack-ups” as married couples, and I imagine they were also counting homosexual marriages for which neither are acceptable in the eyes of God. And, in other words, they were encouraging people to live together without getting married. This is biblically wrong. What a fouled up world we live in!

There are many professing Christian people who are “shacking up” and playing house. This is not acceptable in the eyes of God. There is no double standard with the Lord. No where in the Bible does it say this is acceptable for men to do, but if the woman does it then she is a “slut.” Men who use women this way have no morals, cannot possibly be saved or love the Lord, and I call them abusers. Women are not human toys to be used and thrown in the garbage or called “sluts” just because men do not want to control themselves. The Bible says

But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. 1 Corinthians 7:9

Men who keep women for playmates and then abandon them are in no way “saved.” Any man who has a genuine relationship with the Lord will have respect for women too and never place themselves or a woman in a compromising position to sin.

What would Jesus do?

What did Jesus say to the woman caught in adultery? Let us read John 8:3-11,

And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Jesus was saying to this woman to pay no attention to those who like to point their hypocritical fingers at others but rather to “repent” and follow Him. A whole lot of married women I have met in my lifetime have a tendency to be arrogant and selfish. They put on fronts for others to give the impression that their marriage is great. They act smug because they have a man. One married lady whom I worked with in a church many years ago was so haughty. She seemed to be well taken care of and she would deliberately say things to hurt me. Years later I learned that her husband left her for another woman and she had to go out and get a job. It must have been humbling for her.

So many people are quick to point their fingers damning and condemning others for sins they themselves have committed. And when they see someone hurting they drive more stakes through their heart. Would Jesus laugh and make fun of a person who sinned? No, He never did. He befriended them and brought them to repentance.

In all of my life I have honestly known very, very few men or women whom I could call godly Christians. The attitudes of people who claim to be Christian are wrong and cruel. The bad mouthing and gossip needs to stop. If Jesus Christ were standing in front of these people hearing the garbage coming out of most people’s mouths I believe He would say to these people “Depart from me. I never knew you.”

When people laugh and gossip about other people’s sins and mistakes they are heaping up worse troubles for themselves. Am I saying do not judge? Absolutely not. I like this explanation:

And the cry is ‘don’t judge’…we’ve got a lot of people so confused about this. Yes, the Bible says ‘don’t judge’ but then it goes on to quickly explain ‘don’t judge after the flesh’ (John 8:15, 26….judging after the flesh is vindictive. It comes from a mean spirit. It comes from arrogance. It comes from some doctrinal issue that somebody is trying to uphold. It doesn’t come from a broken heart. To judge after the spirit the Bible calls it ‘JUDGING RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT’ is to judge redemptively. This comes from a broken heart… I have to preach like this because I see danger ahead. I love you too much. I care about you …I’m not judging you according to the flesh. I am judging you redemptively hoping that you’ll see the error of your ways and be saved and be healed and I can hug you and I’ll know there is something of God’s character in you…it comes from having a zeal for God’s Word…have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them. -David Wilkerson, Counterfeit Christianity

Righteous judgment is followed with love, compassion, and fellowship, NOT SEPARATION, gossip, and bashing. Genuine Christ followers have love and compassion for others. They help the brokenhearted to heal. They forgive people and teach repentance. Genuine Christ followers pick up their brothers and sisters when they sin and help them back onto their feet again. I see no love, no compassion, no forgiveness from most people who profess to be Christian. Since the Bible says that I will know a fellow Christian by their love (John 13:35), I have to believe that most people I have known and meet are not genuinely saved.

God’s Design

The Lord created Adam. He decided that Adam needed a mate so He took a rib from Adam and created Eve. (This story begins in Genesis 2.) It sure seems self-explanatory to me but yet society has twisted and perverted it. God did not join two men or two women. He joined one man and one woman. Women are subject to men but not for abuse as so many men do. Women are not subject to men because God decided they were too stupid to think for themselves. If anything, the Lord realized that Adam needed help in many ways. Both man and woman must be in right relationship with the Lord FIRST then everything else will fall into place. It is most often easy to see why people have marital problems. It is always because either one or both people are not in right relationship with the Lord first. There is stubbornness, rebellion, selfishness, greediness, jealousies, lustfulness and other things going on. All of these things are sins and they will send people to Hell.

God’s Word

There are people today who try to separate what they think are “have’s” and “have not’s” but I believe it is self-focused and self-damning efforts to cover up one’s own sins. The arrogant, unforgiving, gossip mongers who point fingers are deeply guilt ridden in a bed of sin and the longer they refuse to repent the harder it will be for them. The Bible tells us that the Lord is willing to forgive all of our sins no matter what we have done as long as we are willing to humble ourselves before the Lord and REPENT. The Bible does not say that only certain sins are forgivable. Whether it be prostitution, murder, or something else it is no bigger sin than the one who takes a candy bar from the supermarket without paying for it.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped [them] with the hairs of her head.

Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, [the same] loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace. Luke 7:44-50

It is all about humbling oneself before the Lord and making sincere repentance to turn away from that sin and move forward. A person has to be crazy not to accept the Lord’s offer of forgiveness and salvation. (Read more scriptures about forgiveness of sins.) And anyone who goes on television to share all this sugary sweet goodness about what a good person they think they are probably is not genuine.

Whatever society decides is okay does not equal okay with the Lord. Just because everyone is doing it will not exempt anyone from God’s wrath or eternal damnation. The Bible says that the last days will be like they were in the days which Noah lived. When Noah lived the people were very wicked. Perversion flourished. The people served false gods. The Bible says there were no other righteous people to be found upon the earth except for Noah and his family. The Lord told Noah to build an ark because He was going to destroy the earth and all the wicked people in a flood. The people laughed at Noah for doing what the Lord asked him to do. Doesn’t this sound like today?
