While restructuring our website I re-read this comment that Tracy Weber from the Orange County Register quoted Jan Crouch as saying,

Wringing a white handkerchief and sobbing, television evangelist Jan Crouch stared into the camera and urged viewers not to believe what “an army of fault-finding demons” was about to reveal. –Trinity Broadcasting Faces Lawsuits, Complaints

Not only were they phony jezebel tears seeking sympathies from millions of disillusioned people, but something struck me funny about this after reading it again and again. You know people today are in general so ignorant of Hell, Satan and his demons. People do not want to hear what frightens them. Instead of having concern for their own eternal soul people shut it all out. Really very few people take it all seriously. Many people refuse to believe there is a real Hell or demons. People generally use and misuse the word “demons” without any real knowledge of what they are saying. The writer of the above article even likened the word “demon” with the word “critic.” They are not at all equal. The Collins English dictionary describes a demon as

a person, habit, obsession, etc, thought of as evil, cruel, or persistently tormenting (source)
 Dictionary.com (source) says,

1. an evil spirit; devil or fiend.
an evil passion or influence.
a person considered extremely wicked, evil, or cruel.
4. a person with great energy, drive, etc.: He’s a demon for work.
5. a person, especially a child, who is very mischievous: His younger son is a real little demon.

I am offering these dictionary definitions in order to illustrate what society believes a demon is. Society has reduced the meaning of a demon to be an inanimate object. No genuine Christian person should ever be using the word “demon” so casually. Such casual use of this word can and will invoke demons into one’s life. Satan is probably laughing when people go calling on his dark angels, especially when they profess to be Christian.

The Bible tells us that demons are real. When Lucifer (the devil, Satan) fell he influenced 1/3 of the angelic angels to turn evil and make war against God. So God cast Lucifer and his demons out of heaven.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Revelation 12:7-9

Demons, according to the Bible, are NOT PEOPLE. Demons are evil spirits. These spirits roam the earth looking for bodies to inhabit. Satan is the dark prince of this world. He rules over the earth and these evil spirits. The Bible tells us that Satan and his demons ROAM the earth looking for someone to devour.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. Job 1:7

Evil spirits or demons do not enter inanimate objects. They enter living beings whether human or animal but they can only enter human beings where the person has open doors to Satan’s devices (obsessions with anger, hatred, murder, pride, jealousies, stubbornness, rebellion, and keeping his devices in your home or even dabbling in his occult paraphernalia such as witchcraft of any kind- ouija boards, tarot cards, Harry Potter type stuff that teaches how to do spells, magic, mysticism, psychic phenomenon, horoscopes and there is a long list of stuff which you can read more about on our page about witchcraft.

So here we see Jan Crouch who (based on a variety of public sources) really does not seem to believe the entire Bible, just parts of it. She thinks she is a Christian and anyone who tells her that she is doing anything wrong is then an “evil demon.”

“They think they’re above rebuke. It’s like, ‘You’ve touched God’s anointed and now you’re going to get it.'” -Marvin L. Martin, Trinity Broadcasting Faces Lawsuits, Complaints

Jan here is just an example of how many, many people in the church today really are. Well, Satan is in the business of deceiving people. He will NEVER tell anyone they are sinning. If you want to cheat on your spouse, steal something, live in adultery, murder someone, or commit some perversion Satan will be right there whispering in your ear “Go for it. You know you want it. It’s not wrong. This is what you have to do. Everybody is doing it…. [so and so] is doing it and they are a deacon (or preacher or whatever). It’s okay. Go ahead. God is not going to send you to Hell. He would never do that.”

I cannot help but add that if Jan were a genuine Christian then she would have stood up and done something about the horrible way these fake preachers treated me on her property in 2011. The entire way I was treated as something insignificant became the beginning of me and my mother’s eyes being opened to the truth about TBN. Trinity Broadcasting Network never even began as a Christian network. It was Satan’s scheme to begin with to plant false doctrine in the minds of the Christian people and re-educate naive, gullible souls into joining a one world religion without even realizing they have just sold their souls out to Satan, along with being a very clever money making scheme. Satan has been having a very easy time deceiving professing Christian people because we are too quick to accept when someone says they are Christian that they really are Christian. We are deceived by a whole lot of good actors and deceivers and we do not take enough time to test the spirits.

I sometimes wonder about all the people who have willingly signed over their property and inheritances to the Crouch’s, TBN, and other phony ministries. I pray they will discover the truth as mom and I have. God sure is taking care of me and my mother in spite of our poor choices in giving in the past. When we believe we are giving to the Lord and we give with the right motivation, not to gain monetarily, then I believe that God blesses us for it. I have the feeling that the person who receives the monies under false pretenses probably never gains what they could have if they had been genuine and honest. I wonder if God ever makes money disappear from these people’s pockets? God can do it.

Read more about who Satan and his demons are. Do not be casual about Satan and his band of demons. The Bible teaches us to be informed and alert to Satan’s devices so that we may not be deceived by him.
